This week we are continuing our exploration of schemas with a focused look at 3 play schemas: enclosing, positioning and enveloping.
Understanding Play Schemas is crucial for parents and educators in two key ways. Firstly, it allows us to distinguish between ‘natural urges’ and ‘behaviour’, which can help us better support children's emotional and social development. Secondly, it enables us to plan learning environments that align with children's Play Schemas, which can significantly enhance their learning and mastery of new concepts.
